If you’re in Karakol in the summer, the beach is a must see! Pack your bag and prepare for an idyllic day at the beach. Issy-Kul means “warm lake,” and got it’s name because although the lake is surrounded by mountains, it never freezes. The lake is the 10th largest lake in the world (by volume). There are a few beaches that are easy to reach from Karakol. We recommend going to Pristan, as it is the most clean and beautiful. If you are in Karakol in the fall or winter, it might be worth seeing on a sunny day. Jump into the cold water if you dare!
